15th Annual Torchy's Taco Run
The 15th Annual Torchy's Taco Run is a community-organized group run in Austin that raises funds for Band of Runners, an organization that supports military veterans and their families by welcoming them into the trail running community and teaching running skills.
The route covers approximately 42 miles and visits all 10 Torchy's Tacos locations within the city. The event follows a casual, non-competitive pace and is not a race. Participants may complete as many miles and eat as many tacos as they choose. The informal "Challenge" invites participants to eat a different taco at each location.
The route is pedestrian friendly and ride shares are available at any stop for people who need to drop in or out. Free parking is noted as available. Final route details and an approximate schedule are emailed to participants in advance.
Organizers are collecting donations for Band of Runners and have set a $10,000 fundraising goal. Ten Junk Miles is offering T-shirts for a suggested minimum donation of $25; those who want a T-shirt must make the donation and submit the required form by Thursday, November 26, 2026.
