ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot
The 36th annual ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot is a live and virtual event held on Thanksgiving, November 26, 2026, centered at the Long Center in Austin, Texas. The event includes in-person activities at the Long Center and a virtual option that allows participants to run or walk from any location and record times for listed distances. Virtual participants are not eligible for awards.
Event distances:
- 5-mile run, with timed and untimed options
- 1-mile walk/run
- Stepping Stone School Kids K
Packet pickup runs from November 20 to November 26 with locations that include First Texas Honda and the Long Center. Participants may pick up packets for friends and family. Parking options and designated ride share drop-off points are listed for downtown Austin locations, and one lot is restricted from 6am to noon. Participants are asked not to park in neighborhoods south of the river.
All registration proceeds and raffle ticket sales support Caritas of Austin. ThunderCloud Subs has named Caritas its sole beneficiary since 1991 and has donated more than $6 million over the event history. A raffle sponsored by First Texas Honda offers a new car lease or credit up to $25,000; ticket sales are limited to 3,600 and benefit Caritas.
