Top Gun Triathlon : August 1, 2026
The Top Gun Triathlon takes place in St Petersburg, Florida at 3500 Pinellas Bayway S., ZIP 33715. The event is USAT sanctioned and offers multiple race formats on the same day, including individual and relay options and categories for active military and Clydesdale/Athena entrants. Entry fees listed for regular registration include $90 for several individual triathlon and duathlon categories, $160 for relay teams, and $80 for certain reduced categories. Prices increase after April 13, 2026.
Events and distances
Distances published for the main race formats are:
- Sprint Triathlon: 0.25 mile swim, 10 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Duathlon: 1.5 mile run, 10 mile bike, 5 km run
- Aqua-Bike: 0.25 mile swim, 10 mile bike
Relay entries are allowed for 2- or 3-person teams.
Logistics and amenities
Packet pickup is scheduled at PlayTri St Petersburg (2132 Central Ave) on Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31, with an additional athlete check-in race morning at THE FORT. A special first-timer athlete session is set for Friday at the PlayTri store. The race uses a closed course in Fort De Soto. Amenities include pre/post race parties and entertainment, custom finisher medals made in the USA, and age-group awards 3-deep from ages 15-19 through 80 and over, plus top three relay team awards.
