Conquer Cancer Walk/Run
The Conquer Cancer Walk/Run is a community event held at Rowlett Park in Tampa, Florida. This family-friendly gathering supports initiatives for all types of cancer and is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels. The course consists of a 1-mile loop, where different event distances are completed by finishing a specific number of laps.
Available event distances include:
- 5K Run/Walk (3 laps)
- 2K Run/Walk (2 laps)
- 1 Mile Walk/Run (1 lap)
- 1 Mile Kids Fun Run
- 5K Virtual Run/Walk
The 2K and 5K events offer a timed bib option for those interested in tracking their performance. The event is stroller-friendly, and dogs are permitted on the course provided they remain on a leash. Youth participation for the distances is offered free of charge.
Participants can choose between standard registration or an upgraded registration that includes a race T-shirt, swag bag, finisher's medal, and a timed bib. Trophy awards are presented to the top three winners in the 2K and 5K races. The event area features a finish line atmosphere with a professional DJ, healthy snacks, and refreshments. Following the races, a Healthy Start Fair takes place at the park, featuring health screenings, wellness resources, fitness demonstrations, and a dedicated Kids Zone with games and inflatables.
