Tom’s Cairn 10K & 5K Trail Races

Tom’s Cairn 10K & 5K Trail Races take place in Finzean, Deeside, with both races starting and finishing at Birse and Feughside Parish Church. The 10K course features a challenging ascent of 239 meters to the summit of Tom’s Cairn, running through woodland trails and estate tracks within the scenic Finzean Estate. The 5K route offers an undulating run through Finzean Woods and estate tracks, passing the small settlement of Turfgate.

Organized by the Finzean and Ballogie Parent Council, the event supports local schools and nurseries. A fun children’s race is also held nearby, with prizes and ice cream for finishers, creating a friendly, community atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
