The Lumphanan Detox 10k is scheduled for 2 January 2026 in Lumphanan, Scotland (AB31 4SU). The event distance is 10 km. Entry fees are listed as £23 for UKA-affiliated club runners and £25 for non-affiliated runners. An administration fee is added to orders. There are no on-the-day entries. Registration takes place at Lumphanan Village Hall (School Road); registration opens on the morning of the race at the hall. The organiser is listed as Lumphanan Detox 10k.
Course, safety and facilities
The course is almost circular. Route A is the preferred route; Route B will be used if conditions make the farm track unsafe. Routes A and B are the same for the first 6.5 km. The course begins with a steady incline of about 2 km. On Route A most of the remainder is downhill or flat; at about 6.5 km the route moves onto a farm track for roughly 1 km and this section may be tricky. Route B stays on the road and includes an additional climb around 7.5 km before the final descent into the village.
Safety rules include no dogs except guide dogs, no buggies or prams, running on the right-hand side of the road, and only one ear covered by a music device. A lead car with flashing beacon will head the race and marshals and qualified first aiders will be in place. There is no water station on the route; runners are asked to bring containers and use the barrel outside registration. Prize giving and small finish-line refreshments are provided.
