Alford Bull Running Festival - Alford
The Alford Bull Running Festival is a full day of races centred at Haughton House and Haughton Park in Alford. The event includes age-graded fun runs for children, a parent-and-child relay, a mixed-terrain 5 km trail race and a certified 10 km road race. Any profit will be donated to the local running club to fund permanent floodlighting at the Grampian Transport Museum.
Routed events use park trails and quiet country roads. The 5 km trail course includes uneven ground and tree roots and is fully signposted and marshalled. The 10 km road course is a certified route on quiet roads with marshals, signage and water stations; the 10 km finishes at Flower Meadow in Haughton Park. Mini runs and the relay take place at Haughton House as sequential age-group events.
Registration is online only and closes on 21 August 2026. There are no on-the-day entries and no refunds. Entry fees vary by event and include medals and a goody-bag for children in relay teams. Facilities include parking at Haughton Park and village car parks, toilets at Haughton Park car parks, and refreshments at registration. Photography opt-out is available at registration. Trail surfaces are uneven; participants should run at their own risk. Dogs are not permitted on any course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
