Bristow 15 Mile Trail Race
The Bristow 15 Mile Trail Race is a challenging and scenic running event held on the Balmoral Estate in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The course begins with views of Balmoral Castle and follows the River Dee westward before ascending through the Ballochbuie pine forest. At mile 8, runners face a climb to the base of Lochnagar, gaining about 120 meters in elevation.
The final three miles descend back toward the castle, featuring a demanding finish. The mostly Land Rover track route includes two water stations and mile markers throughout. Entry includes a finisher's medal, electronic timing, a downloadable certificate, free parking, and a tree planted for each participant, emphasizing the event's connection to nature.
