Loch Kinord 10k, 11 October 2026
Loch Kinord 10k is a 10 km trail race based at Kinord Hall in Dinnet, located on the A93 between Aboyne and Ballater. The event follows trail tracks that include narrow paths and grass sections. The route is described as fairly flat and suitable for running; surfaces can become muddy or slippery when wet, and hazardous sections are marked with hazard tape.
Marshals are positioned at points around the course to provide direction and assistance. Parking is limited in the main village pay and display carpark, with an overflow carpark and additional roadside parking on the A9158 between Dinnet and the river. Competitors are required to meet race organiser guidelines for kit and weather. The minimum requirement is full body cover suitable for the conditions on the day; competitors are advised to have appropriate kit available even if not carried during the race. Trail shoes are advised but optional.
The event is insured and follows SHR guidelines. Refunds minus an admin charge are available until 1 September 2026. Places may be transferred to another person until 1 October 2026; there is no defer option.
