Tissington Trail Half Marathon Weekend
The event consists of half marathon races held on the Tissington Trail, a former railway line running from Parsley Hay to Ashbourne in Derbyshire. The race follows a roughly 13 mile traffic free route along the trail, passing through views over the Derbyshire Dales. The surface is multi terrain with a slight downhill gradient along much of the course.
Races take place on two days, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026, and entrants may choose to run on one or both days. Coaches are provided from the race headquarters at Ashbourne Leisure Centre to the race start at Parsley Hay. There is car parking in Ashbourne town centre and a small car park at the leisure centre; parking charges apply. Bus services run to Ashbourne Leisure Centre from Derby.
Organisers publish detailed route maps and GPX files for the course. Included for entrants are a bespoke medal, free photographs, and trophies and prizes for leading runners. Advance offers list a price of £38 for each race day; an on the day entry fee of £45 is noted subject to availability. Event information is sent to registered entrants prior to race day.
