Tissington Trail September Half Marathon Weekend

The Tissington Trail Half Marathon Weekend takes place in Derbyshire, utilizing many sections of a former railway line that once connected Ashbourne and Buxton. This point-to-point race starts at Parsley Hay and concludes 13 miles later in Ashbourne. Participants can choose to compete on either Saturday or Sunday, or they may opt to participate on both days.

The event follows the following distance:

  • 21.1 km (Half Marathon)

The course is traffic-free and consists of a multi-terrain surface. It is characterized by a slight downhill gradient throughout its length, which provides views over the Derbyshire Dales. Because the race is a point-to-point route, coaches are provided by the organizers to transport participants from the Race HQ at Ashbourne Leisure Centre to the starting line at Parsley Hay.

Registered entrants receive event information prior to the race day. Each finisher is awarded a bespoke medal, and free professional photographs are provided. Prizes and trophies are presented to the leading runners. The event is open to participants aged 17 and over. Car parking is available in Ashbourne Town Centre and at the leisure centre, and bus services operate between Derby and Ashbourne. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
