Event overview
The Inflatable 5K Obstacle Course takes place at Bakewell Showground, Bakewell (DE45 1AH) on Saturday 12 September 2026. The course is a 2.5 km lap with inflatable obstacles repeated each lap. Distances offered:
- 2.5 km (1 lap, 15 obstacles)
- 5 km (2 laps, 30 obstacles)
- 10 km (4 laps, 60 obstacles)
- 15 km (6 laps, 90 obstacles)
The 5 km layout includes 30 obstacles; three new obstacles were added for this edition. Examples of obstacles named on the course include Start Mountain, The Crawler, Holy Moly, The Vortex and The Boss.
Practical information
Age rules and entry categories: Adult entries are 16+; child entries are for ages 5 to 15. Children aged 5 to 15 must be accompanied by a paying participating adult, with a maximum 3:1 child-to-adult ratio. Spectators may watch from designated spectator areas only.
Facilities and rules: there is no on-site parking and public car parks are nearby. Toilets are provided. Water is available at a mid-route drink station. Bag drop is available for £3.00 per bag; bags should be gym duffle size or smaller and will be searched. Dogs are not allowed. Recommended kit includes sensible running shoes, a long sleeve top and a rain jacket if needed; sharp jewellery or sharp objects are not permitted.
