Tiny Footprints Remembrance 5K Run/Walk
The Tiny Footprints Remembrance 5K Run/Walk is the second annual event held in Midland, Michigan at 204 St Charles Street. The event features a 5K run and walk and is organized to raise funds for a planned Tiny Footprints Remembrance Foundation. The stated purpose of the foundation is to support the Covenant NICU, the bereavement program Noah's Footprints that creates mementos for grieving parents, and to produce care kits for local hospital and OB offices to help mothers experiencing miscarriage.
The event grew from the organizers experience with pregnancy loss and neonatal care. In May 2023 one twin was lost in utero at 31 weeks; the surviving twin was delivered 10 days later and spent 29 days in the NICU. The event provides a public space to honor babies who died before or shortly after birth and to reduce stigma around grieving.
Registration details provided by the organizer list a registration fee of $30.00, registration opening on June 16, 2026 and closing on October 10, 2026. Race day registration begins at 9am. Registrations after September 27 are not guaranteed a shirt. Proceeds from the event are directed to the stated nonprofit activities and local bereavement supports.
