The Fast & Furriest 5K Run/Walk is Great Lakes Bay Animal Society’s 13th annual event, held on May 2, 2026, at Midland City Forest in Midland, Michigan (2840 E. Monroe Rd., 48640). The event is a 5K trail run/walk with two chip-timed categories: one allowing dogs and one without dogs. Medals will be awarded for first, second, and third place in male and female categories. Aid and water stations are positioned along the trail. The course is stroller-friendly. Children age 6 and under may run or walk for free.

Packet pick-up and late registration take place at Midland City Forest the day before and the morning of the event. Event T-shirts and other participant items are guaranteed for those who register before April 20, 2026. Pre-registration is listed at $35; day-of registration is listed at $40.
