Fast & Furriest 5K Run/Walk : Midland City Forest
The Fast & Furriest 5K Run/Walk is the 13th annual charity trail event presented by Great Lakes Bay Animal Society at Midland City Forest, 2840 E. Monroe Rd., Midland, MI 48640. The event features a 5K trail run/walk offered in two chip timed categories: with dogs and without dogs.
Both chip timed events award medals for first, second, and third place in male and female categories. Aid and water stations are placed along the trail. The course is described as stroller-friendly and is presented as a family-friendly, kid-friendly event. Children age six and under may run or walk for free.
Packet pick-up and late registration take place at Midland City Forest on the day before and the day of the event. Event T-shirts and participant items are guaranteed for those who register before April 20, 2026.
All proceeds from the event will directly benefit Great Lakes Bay Animal Society’s efforts to provide care for animals transitioning to permanent homes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
