TinMan JHB #3
TinMan JHB #3 is part of the 2026 TINMAN Series and takes place on 30 August 2026 at Prime View in Olifantsfontein, Midrand, Gauteng. The event offers multiple triathlon and duathlon formats, with individual and relay options and team sizes of two to three participants.
Distances and minimum ages:
- Mini Tri: 200m swim / 5km bike / 2.5km run (min age 8)
- Super Sprint Tri: 400m swim / 12km bike / 2.5km run (min age 12)
- Sprint Tri (individual): 750m swim / 22km bike / 5km run (min age 16)
- Sprint Relay: 750m swim / 22km bike / 5km run (relay teams)
- Sprint Duathlon: 5km run / 22km bike / 2.5km run (min age 16)
- Challenge Tri: 1.2km swim / 32km bike / 10km run (min age 17)
- Challenge Relay: 1.2km swim / 32km bike / 10km run (relay teams)
Race terrain and safety: swimming takes place in the dam, cycling on public roads, and running on offroad gravel tracks. The event is run under Triathlon SA rules. Participants must hold an annual Triathlon SA licence or purchase a temporary day licence for the event; annual licence fees for seniors and juniors are noted in the event information.
Included for entrants are a timing race chip and race number, medical support, swim lifeguards, run marshals, a road closure for the bike leg, a finishers medal, on-course water, and prizes for top finishers and selected draws.
