ARC Irene Trail Run/Walk
The event is a series of trail and road options held at the Irene Athletics Clubhouse inside the Agricultural Research Centre (ARC) Irene in Centurion, Gauteng. The venue offers a clubhouse with coffee, drinks and snacks, parking and venue entry included with registration. Pets are not permitted.
Distances and standard entry fees are listed below. On-the-day entries incur an additional R30 except for children under 13 years and adults over 60 years, who pay R80 and do not incur the on-the-day surcharge. No race license is required.
- 3 km : R80 (3 km is half trail and half road)
- 5 km : R110
- 10 km : R130
- 15 km : R150
- 21 km : R170
Entry includes a marked route, water tables on all routes, a finisher medal, parking and Vitality points. The road options remain within the ARC Irene grounds and do not use public roads. Trail routes are full distance routes with no loops. Walking and hiking are allowed on some shorter routes, including the 5 km, 10 km and 15 km options.
There is a Make a Difference campaign offering participants the choice to donate the cost of their medal; donated amounts and additional contributions will be pooled and donated to an animal shelter at year end.
