Timely Nonsense - Chicago, Horner Park

Timely Nonsense is a timed urban ultra held at Horner Park in Chicago, a 58-acre park at the intersection of California and Montrose. The event offers multiple timed durations on a short paved loop around the park, with the loop length described in event materials as roughly 0.75 to 0.97 miles.

Runners complete repeated loops on a counterclockwise course. There is one aid station at the start/finish area stocked with typical ultra fare, and a park vendor sells items such as hot dogs, popsicles, and sodas. Team entries are available as two person or four person relay teams.

At the top of each hour a new lighthearted challenge is announced that participants may complete during that hour; past challenges have included rolling down the hill or using the playground slide.
