Timely Nonsense - Chicago
Timely Nonsense is a timed ultra held at Horner Park in Chicago on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The event uses a paved loop around the park that is under one mile in length and is run in a counter clockwise direction.
Participants may choose from multiple timed events:
- 3 hour event
- 6 hour event
- 12 hour event
The event offers individual and team entries, with team relays available for two person teams and four person teams. Runners use a single aid station located at the start/finish area that will be stocked with typical ultra fare. A park vendor will also be present selling items such as hot dogs, popsicles, and sodas.
Organizers introduce an hourly challenge at the top of each hour; past challenges have included rolling down a hill or going down the playground slide. On-course facilities include a port a potty and the park recreation center, which is open during the day on race day.
