Timely Nonsense - Chicago timed ultrarun
Timely Nonsense is a timed ultrarun held in Chicago on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The event offers multiple timed options and takes place on a paved loop inside a 58-acre park at the intersection of California and Montrose. The loop is run in a counter-clockwise direction and is approximately one mile (about 0.97 mile).

Logistics and on-course details
There is one aid station at the start/finish area stocked with typical ultra fare. A vendor at the park will offer hot dogs, popsicles, sodas, and other race treats. Team relay options are available for two-person teams and four-person teams. At the top of each hour, the race issues a new challenge that runners may attempt during that hour; past challenges have included rolling down a hill or using the playground slide. On-course facilities include a port-a-potty and the park recreation center, which is open 9:00am-5:00pm on race day.
