Timberneck 5K Run/Walk
The Timberneck 5K Run/Walk is an inaugural event held in the newly established Machicomoco State Park in Gloucester, Virginia. This event provides participants with the opportunity to run or walk through an area rich in local history. The course consists of a flat, 3.1-mile loop that offers views of the York River.
Participants can choose from the following events:
- 5 km (Run/Walk)
- 1 mile (Fun Run)
Presented by the Peninsula Track Club, the event serves as a fundraiser for the Fairfield Foundation. Proceeds from the race are directed toward the preservation and restoration of the Timberneck House.
The event takes place at 3601 Timberneck Farm Road. All registrants and spectators arriving by vehicle must pay a 5 USD admission fee per vehicle to enter the state park. For those participating in the events, packet pickup is available on-site on the morning of the race.
