Event information
The 17th Annual Sleighbell 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Williamsburg, VA, with the main event at Jamestown High School. The event program includes the following distances and options:
- 5K Run
- 5K Run (Students under 18 or college w/ID)
- 5K Competitive Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Virtual 5K - OPEN
Fees listed for events include $40 for the 5K Run, $35 for the student 5K, $40 for the competitive walk, $20 for the 1 Mile Fun Run, $30 for the Virtual 5K, and $10 for T-shirts only.
Course, registration and extras
The course uses the Virginia Capital Trail, Powhatan Creek Trail and Greensprings Trail and is USATF certified. The race is part of the 2025 Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix. Early packet pickup is available the day before at Colonial Sports, 1303 Jamestown Road; race day packet pickup is also provided.
Virtual participants receive a race T and finisher medal; packet mailing is available for a $9.00 fee. Race T and size are guaranteed for registrations completed by 12/2/25. A portion of proceeds benefits the WJCC School Health Initiative Program (S.H.I.P.), and donated food items will go to From His Hands. The event includes an ugly sweater contest and awards for top finishers in overall, masters (40+), age groups, and a "Middle of the Pack" prize. Finishing medals are provided while supplies last.
