Trail Running at Smith Ranch
The Tierra Redonda Mountain Trail Run takes place at Smith Ranch in Bradley, California. This event is held on a private cattle ranch and features a 4 mile loop course. The route consists of 100% dirt paths, utilizing a mix of ranch roads and single track trails. Each loop includes approximately 202 feet of elevation gain.
Participants can choose from several distance options and time-based events:
- 12km consisting of two loops.
- 25km consisting of four loops.
- 24 Hour run involving multiple loops.
- 48 Hour run involving multiple loops.
The course offers views of the surrounding landscape and moderate climbs. Runners have access to well-stocked aid stations, with the main aid station and basecamp located at the end of every 4 mile loop.
Event Experience and Amenities
The gathering is family-friendly and permits dogs on a leash. All finishers receive awards, while the top male and female performers in each distance are presented with handcrafted trophies. The staging area is located at the Smith Ranch Hay Barn, where all races start and finish.
Primitive overnight camping is available on-site for vehicles, motorhomes, RVs, and tents. There are no hookups or amenities provided for campers.
