SMFA 5K Toy Run
The San Miguel Firefighter Association presents the First Annual 5K Toy Run on November 7, 2026 in San Miguel, California. The event begins and ends at the historic Rios-Caledonia Adobe and covers a 3.1 mile course through the town.
The route passes the San Miguel Fire Department, Lillian Larsen Elementary School, and Mission San Miguel Arcángel. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, and a complimentary post-run meal is provided.
Registration opens July 2, 2026 and closes October 19, 2026. Registration includes options for early bird and regular entry, and children 10 and under are free. New, unwrapped toy donations are also accepted at the event.
Limited parking is available at the Rios-Caledonia Adobe. Additional overflow parking is available at Mission San Miguel Arcángel and along Mission Street toward the San Miguel Fire Department; participants should follow posted parking signs and directions from event volunteers.
Well-behaved dogs on a leash and strollers are welcome; participants with strollers or pets are asked to begin toward the back of the starting group. The event will be held rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe. All proceeds go toward purchasing Christmas toys for local children through the San Miguel Firefighter Association Christmas Parade. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
