Event Format
This event uses a "Last One Standing" format. Participants run a 4.18-mile loop every hour. The loop must be finished within the hour to continue. Runners must be in the start corral at the beginning of each new hour to begin the next loop. Anyone who does not finish a loop within the hour or fails to start the next loop is out. The race continues until only one runner completes a final loop alone.
Course and Rules
The course is a loop on dirt trails and ranch roads at Smith Ranch on Lynch Canyon Road in Bradley, California. It is marked with green surveyor's tape.
- Runners must carry their own water and snacks; there are no aid stations on the course.
- A small crew of two people is allowed in the pit stop area at the start.
- No artificial aids, such as trekking poles, are permitted.
- Runners must wear their assigned bib number on the front and visible at all times.
