Last One Standing at Bradley
This event uses a Last One Standing format on a marked loop at Smith Ranch, 8029 Lynch Canyon Road, Bradley, California. Runners repeat a 4.18 mile loop on 100% dirt trail and ranch roads that is marked with green surveyors tape. The gross elevation change for the loop is +332 feet and -332 feet.
Participants must complete each loop within the allotted hour to continue. If a runner does not finish a loop within the hour they are out and recorded as a DNF. To begin the next loop a runner must be in the starting corral when the hour starts and must start with the sounding of the bell. Whistle warnings are given at three minutes, two minutes, and one minute before each start. Failure to line up in the starting corral results in disqualification.
Each competitor may have a small crew of up to two people at the pit stop area. No non competitors are allowed on course, including eliminated runners. Competitors are responsible for carrying their own on course aid; there are no aid stations on the loop. Artificial aids including trekking poles are not allowed. No non competitor pacers are permitted though participants may run together.
Race administration items include visible front bibs, no refunds transfers or deferrals, packet pick up at the main camp aid station, and a single staffed aid station on site offering water, ice, fruit, soup, grilled cheese, quesadillas, and Hammer Nutrition products. The last runner standing receives a custom western style trophy buckle. All entrants receive a handcrafted Kukini amulet, an event sticker, and a custom event t shirt. Amenities include portable restrooms, group campfires at dusk, a community oak BBQ pit, flat camp areas, and music. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
