Last One Standing at Bradley

Event format
The event uses a Last One Standing format. Participants run a repeated loop of 4.18 miles each hour and must return to the start area before the hour ends to continue. Runners who do not finish a loop within the hour are out and recorded as DNF. When only one runner completes a final lap, that runner is declared the winner. Speed within a loop does not affect standing; completion before the hour expires is the requirement. Participants may have a crew of up to two people who may set up at the race starting area. No non-competitor pacers are allowed on course; eliminated runners are not allowed on course.
Location and course
The event is held at Smith Ranch, 8029 Lynch Canyon Road, Bradley, California. The loop is 100% dirt on trails and ranch roads, marked with green surveyors tape. Gross elevation change is +332' / -332'. No aid stations are located on the loop itself.
Rules, aid and prizes
Runners must carry their own on-course aid such as water and snacks. No artificial aids, including trekking poles, are permitted. Organizers will give whistle warnings before each start and entry into the starting corral is required to begin the next loop. One staffed aid station will be available for the duration of the event. The last runner standing receives a custom western-style trophy buckle; all participants receive a handcrafted Kukini amulet, an event sticker, and a custom event t-shirt.
