Tie Dye 50K
The Tie Dye 50K takes place on May 16, 2026, at John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs, Ohio (3790 State Route 370). The event is a 50 kilometer ultramarathon run on a three loop course through the park. Each loop is approximately 10.3 miles.
The course runs through John Bryan State Park, a 752 acre park with a limestone gorge cut by the Little Miami River. A portion of the gorge is designated as a national natural landmark.
Aid stations are fully manned at miles 5, 10.3, 15.3, 20.6, and 25.6 and will offer water, Gatorade, chips, pretzels, pickles or pickle juice, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, bananas, and cookies. Water only stations are located at miles 2.2, 7, 9, 12.5, 17.3, 19.3, 23, 27.6, and 29.6.
The event is cupless, so there will be no cups pre set at aid stations. A collapsible reusable cup can be added to registration for $3 and will be provided at packet pick up. Participants are expected to carry their own cup and water bottle.
Drop bags are allowed at miles 10.3 and 20.6 and must be managed by the participant. Packet pick up is at the shelter in the campground. Parking is in the main lot and additional areas as directed; parking in the campground requires a camping permit.
The event enforces a total completion cutoff of nine hours. Awards are given to the top three overall female, male, and non binary finishers and finishing awards are provided to those who complete the course within the cutoff. A last finisher award is designated for the final finisher within the cutoff. The $60 non refundable registration includes a short sleeve lightweight tech t shirt. The last day to be registered with guarantee of shirt is April 17, 2026. Online registration is accepted through May 14, 2026 or until capacity is reached. Awards for each gender category will be ordered based on registrations received by April 21, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
