Oakwood's That Day in May Fun Run
The 51st annual Oakwood's That Day in May Fun Run takes place on May 16 at Oakwood High School in Oakwood, Ohio. The event includes in-person races and virtual options and is organized as a community running event with multiple distance choices.
Distances offered include:
- 1k family fun run, free; optional shirt purchase $12
- 5k in person, $35; technical shirt if registered by May 1
- 10k in person, $35; technical shirt if registered by May 1
- Virtual 5k, $35; technical shirt if registered by May 1
- Virtual 10k, $35; technical shirt if registered by May 1
Race day check-in will be outside Mack Hummon Stadium behind Oakwood High School. Registration opens January 1. In-person event registrations close on May 16, and virtual registrations close on May 14. There are no processing fees for online entry this year.
All finishers will receive a custom That Day in May finisher medal. Virtual participants may submit results for compilation and all participants can have results and photos posted online. Awards for the 5k and 10k include overall top 3 male and overall top 3 female plus top 3 male and top 3 female in these age groups: 12 under; 13 to 15; 16 to 18; 19 to 24; 25 to 29; 30 to 34; 35 to 39; 40 to 44; 45 to 49; 50 to 54; 55 to 59; 60 to 69; 70 and over.
