ORRRC Vandalia 5K
This event is a community 5-kilometer road race held in Vandalia, Ohio at the Vandalia Recreation Center (1111 Stonequarry Road, Dayton, OH 45414) on 05/13/2026. Entry options include online registration through RunSignup prior to the race, in-person registration at the event, and hard copy registration sheets available on race day. Online registration opens 04/15/2026 08:00 and remains available until approximately 15 minutes before the race. Minors must be registered by a parent or guardian either online or in person with a parent or guardian present to sign the waiver.
All participants must check in before the race and attach the assigned timing chip to one shoe; chips are distributed at the check-in table identified by a green tablecloth. Parking is provided at the Vandalia Recreation Center. Organizers recommend arriving at least one hour before the race to allow time for parking, check-in, and warm-up.
Fee structure: current ORRRC members run free when using a membership profile or by presenting proof of membership at the event. Non-members pay $10 for ages 15 and up; ages 14 and under are free. Awards include First Overall Male/Female, First Male/Female Masters (40 and over), First Grand Master (50 and over), First Male/Female Senior (60 and over), and age-group recognitions. Animals are not permitted except for clearly identified service dogs. Volunteer opportunities are organized through the event volunteer sign-up process.
