Tidewater Striders Turkey Trot 10K and Mile
The 49th Annual Tidewater Striders Turkey Trot takes place at the Mt Trashmore YMCA in Virginia Beach on November 26, 2026. The event program includes a certified 10K course with USATF certification VA11043RT, a 1 Mile out and back course that begins and ends at the YMCA, a Competitive Walk division, and a toddler 50 yard dash.
Amenities include long sleeved T shirts for participants, onsite refreshments, a post race party in the YMCA parking lot, and finisher medals for registered participants who complete each race. There is a $3 savings option for those who opt out of receiving a shirt. Registration fees listed for the main events are $35 for the 10K and $20 for the Mile; the toddler dash is free. A youth discount applies for ages 22 and under.
Awards are given by age group and overall. The 10K has detailed male and female age divisions and top overall awards; the Mile and Toddler events have age group awards and medals for all finishers. Walkers must complete the entire course to be eligible for awards in the walking division. Strollers are allowed but should start toward the back of the field; dogs are not permitted on course.
