Tidewater Striders Turkey Trot 10K and Mile

The event is a multi-race holiday running event held at Mt Trashmore YMCA in Virginia Beach. It includes road races on certified and local courses, a youth mile, a toddler dash, a competitive walk division, and a push rim/hand crank wheelchair division.

Distances

• 10 km certified course, loops through Windsor Woods and Mt Trashmore City Park.
• 1 mile out-and-back on South Blvd starting and finishing at the YMCA.
• 50 yards toddler dash with bibs and medals.
• 10K competitive walk and 10K wheelchair divisions.

Amenities include long-sleeved T-shirts for registrants, onsite refreshments, and a post-race party in the YMCA parking lot where age-group awards are announced. Finisher medals are provided to registered participants who complete their races. The 10K awards top three overall male and female finishers and multiple age-group awards for men and women; the mile has top-three awards across youth and adult age groups. The competitive walk division requires participants to walk the entire distance to be eligible for awards.

Registration pricing includes an early-bird rate of $35 through May 31, with staged increases afterward; there is an $8 youth discount for ages 22 and under through the event date. There is an optional $3 savings for opting out of receiving the event shirt. Pre-registered packet pick-up is scheduled the day before the event at the Mt Trashmore YMCA.
