Thursley Common 10km : event details
The Thursley Common 10km is a guided trail run held in Thursley, Surrey on 25 February 2026 and 7 July 2026. The distance is 10 km. The entry cost is £16 per person. A car park is available near the meeting point. The event is described as the flattest run offered by the organiser and includes a section along a boardwalk that won the title of "Britain's Favourite Path".
Route, organisation and participant information
The run takes place within Thursley National Nature Reserve, a 325-hectare area of heathland, peat bogs, pine and deciduous woodland. The reserve includes open ponds that support dragonflies and damselflies and a variety of birds such as Dartford warblers, stonechats, long-tailed tits, goldcrests, redstarts, whitethroats and wheatears. The event is a group run rather than a race. Participants should be able to sustain an average pace of about 10 min/mile (6 min/km) on trail. A full kit list will be provided before the run. Organisers provide Silva head torches for evening runs and offer Salomon trail shoes to test. Evening sessions are described as sunset runs; darker-month sessions are described as night runs by headtorch in a group environment. A non-alcoholic beer may be offered at the end of the run, subject to availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
