Event Format
This is a three-hour trail running challenge where participants run as many 5 km laps as they can within the time limit. Timing is not done via chip; runners wear a race number and receive a wristband for each lap completed. A headtorch is required for all laps except the first, as most of the running takes place after dark.
Prizes are awarded to the first male and female runners. The entry fee is £20, and refreshments are included. On-site support includes pre- and post-event massage, kinesiology taping, and injury assessment.
Route Details
The looped route starts and finishes at Shere Manor House in the village of Shere, within the Surrey Hills. The course involves a 1.3 km climb and goes through countryside, woods, past a church, and along footpaths. The route will be fully signed for the duration of the event, with marshals present for the first lap only. The course may be altered due to weather conditions.
Practical Information
Free parking is available at Shere Recreation Ground Car Park, and car sharing is encouraged. The event is open to entrants aged 18 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
