Thurlstone Chase
Thurlstone Chase is a category BS fell race held on Thursday 9 July 2026 at Thurlstone Gala/Football Field in South Yorkshire. The event is organised by Penistone Footpath Runners and lists the Gala/Football Field as race HQ.
The course is 6.4 Kilometres, classified as fell running with an undulating profile and run as a single lap. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs. The organiser provides a route map. Facilities at the race are minimal: there is no water, no distance markers, no toilets, no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage at the venue.
Entry fees are £6.00 for both affiliated and unaffiliated entrants. If the event does not sell out, entry on the day is available at no additional charge. Prizes are awarded to the first three men and the first three women regardless of age, then to first finishers in five-year age categories starting at MV40 and FV40.
