The route runs through woodland and pasture on paths and trails with minimal road running and is listed as FRA mandated and insured via UKA. Course, rules and event details
The course skirts the Baslow skyline, climbing away from Baslow through fields towards Hassop, following ridge paths through Bank Wood and Bramley Wood, dropping to the River Derwent and Calver/Curbar, then climbing to Baslow Edge before descending into Baslow for the finish. Routes are marked and marshalled. The race is run under FRA rules, so participants should be prepared to carry the FRA mandatory minimum kit. The organisers note that this is a winter fell race and that entrants run at their own risk. All proceeds go to Baslow St Anne’s Primary School PTFA and Baslow St Anne’s Church building restoration fund; the event also supports the homeless charity Shelter. The race is part of the Outside 2025/26 Winter Race Series, supported by Rab. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
