Courses and logistics
All courses begin with about one mile of road before entering the Thunderbunny Trail and mostly follow singletrack trails; the route is described as 95% singletrack. The 50K route includes a loop around Dow Lake, climbs over the Athens Ridge, and returns on the Thunderbunny and Hollow Point trails. Terrain figures: the 50K has 3517 feet of elevation gain, the 25K has 1608 feet, and the 11K has 610 feet. Singletrack mileage: the 50K lists 29 miles, the 25K 16.1 miles, and the 11K 5.84 miles. The 50K and 25K use a 9-hour course cutoff; the 25K cutoff coincides with the 50K at the Dow Lake Dam. The 11K does not have a hard cutoff. GPX course files and aid station charts are published for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
