Thumbs Up Run/Walk/Bike Event - 13th Annual
The event takes place on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Lake Orono Park, 18599 Gary Street, Elk River, MN. It is the 13th annual gathering supported by a title sponsor, First Bank Elk River, and includes in-person and virtual participation options.

Youth Color Run divisions:
- Ages 3-5: 1/2K
- Ages 6-8: 1K
- Ages 9-12: 1 mile
The program for the day includes an opening and remembrance ceremony, a keynote speaker, awards for top finishers, a youth color run, vendors focused on mental health and wellness, food trucks, and post-event activities. Water stations will be available along the route. Bikers are required to wear a helmet. Friendly dogs are welcome on leash and attendees are asked to clean up after pets.
Packet pickup occurs on the days before the event at Ripple Effect Brewing Company and at Lake Orono Park, with additional pickup available on event day. Registration details: register by August 23 to be guaranteed a participant shirt, team registration by September 4 is required to receive a team sign, and same-day registration is not available. Registration includes entry to the chosen distance, a participant shirt, race bib, and a finisher medal.
The event raises funds and awareness for mental health, features a memory tree and grief support area, mindfulness activities, kindness rocks, caricatures, miniature horses, and a veteran memorial area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
