Riverfest 1 Mile & 5k takes place on Saturday, July 11, 2026 in Monticello, MN. The running events are held on River St along the Mississippi River as part of the annual Riverfest celebration that began in 1976. The event offers two distances:

Race shirts are not included with registration; they are available as an add-on purchase for $15 until June 18, 2025. Photographers will be on site and on course, and free race photos will be shared with participants after the event.
Donations collected for the event are split 100% between the Monticello Fire Department and Monticello Royalty. Sponsors and local organizations are listed by the organizer. Awards include 32 oz water bottles for the male and female winners of each race and certificates for winners in the published age-group categories for both distances.
