Event overview

The Three Towers Ultra is an off-road ultra running event on Saturday 19 September 2026. It runs across the West Pennine Moors, starting at Darwen and visiting three towers: Jubilee, Rivington and Peel. The course is unmarked and runs close to a military firing range, so participants should keep to the path. The event is organised by Tough Trails and is based at the Ranken Arms Pub.

Race details

There are two distance options:

  • 39 miles - 5890 ft elevation gain - 12 hour time limit
  • 55 miles - 8350 ft elevation gain - 17 hour time limit
