Thornhill 10K
The Thornhill 10K is a community road running event held in Thornhill, FK8 3QB on Sun 10 May 2026. The event offers a tarmac 10 km route that circles the Frews, with visible landmarks including the Wallace monument and Munros to the north. A shorter mixed-surface route of 2.5 km is also available.
Entry fees are listed as £27 for the 10K and £10 for the 2.5K. From each entry £2 is donated to the event charity partner, with additional fundraising and catering proceeds also supporting the charity. All finishers receive a medal. Electronic chip timing is used and official results are published after the event.
Medical provision and event marshals are positioned across the route. Water is provided at the finish and at two points on the 10K route, and at one point on the 2.5K route. Facilities at Thornhill Community Hall include toilets, changing rooms, first aid, parking in nearby fields, and hot and cold food and drinks. Race hydration is supplied by Active Root and event photos are made available after the event.
Age limits and categories are specified: minimum age 15 for the 10K, and minimum age 8 to run the 2.5K alone. Gender categories include male, female, non-binary and other; prizes and age-group awards are subject to minimum entry numbers. Refund, transfer and deferral rules apply.
