Thornhill 10K
The Thornhill 10K event offers on-road and short route options around the Frews with views that include the Wallace monument and Munros to the north. The event is based at Thornhill Community Hall, Thornhill, FK8 3QB, and takes place on 9 May 2027.

Key event facts: the 10K route is entirely on tarmac while the 2.5K uses a mix of tarmac and path, so road shoes are recommended. There are water stations at 5 km and 9 km on the 10K and at 1 km on the 2.5K. Both routes are fully signed with large yellow signs and staffed by marshals and medical personnel.
Entries: the 10K entry fee is £28 and the 2.5K fee is £10, with £2 from each entry directed to the event charities including Beatson Cancer Charity. A virtual 10K option is available. All finishers receive a medal. Electronic chip timing is used and timing chips are posted about two weeks before the event; late registrants collect chips on race day.
Participation notes: minimum age 15 for the 10K and 8 to run the 2.5K alone; younger children may run with an adult. Dogs are not permitted.
