Thornhill 10K
Thornhill 10K is a community running event on Sunday 9 May 2027 based at Thornhill Community Hall, Thornhill, FK8 3QB. The route runs around the Frews and passes the Wallace Monument, with views of Munros to the north. The 10K is entirely on tarmac; the 2.5K combines tarmac and path and road shoes are recommended. There are two water stops on the 10K at 5 km and 9 km and one water stop on the 2.5K at 1 km. Both routes are fully marked and marshals and medical staff will be positioned at key locations.

Entry fees are £27 for the 10K and £10 for the 2.5K, with £2 from each entry donated to the event charity partner. All participants receive a medal. Chip timing is used for both distances; race numbers and chips are posted before the event when possible and on-day collection is available for late entries. Other included services are water at the finish, on-route medical provision, race hydration from Active Root, free access to event photos, and parking in nearby fields.
Age limits apply: 10K participants must be at least 15 years old on race day; 2.5K participants must be at least 8 to run alone, with under-8s able to run with an accompanying adult. The event operates gender categories and age-group prizes subject to minimum entry numbers. Deferral, transfer and refund options are available under specified conditions.
