About the race
Doonhamer 10K is a road race organized by Dumfries Harriers in Dumfries, starting and finishing at Dock Park beside the River Nith. The 10-kilometre course follows riverbank paths, crossing the Nith on Buccleuch Street, Suspension, and Kirkpatrick MacMillan bridges; the route is officially measured and certified. The event features chip timing, on-course water, first aid, kilometre markers, and marshalled sections with a lead bicycle and a last-runner sweeper.
It runs on open roads and paths with limited car parking and toilet facilities. The race is sold out with 275 places. It includes a trainer collection for ShoeShare Malawi and a Junior Parkrun. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
