Doonhamer 10k
The Doonhamer 10K is a road race organized by Dumfries Harriers, held in Dock Park, Dumfries, alongside the River Nith. The certified 10-kilometer course features scenic river pathways and crosses the Nith via Buccleuch Street, Suspension, and Kirkpatrick MacMillan bridges. The race follows UK Athletics rules and is limited to 275 participants.
Amenities include chip timing, on-course water, first aid, kilometer markers, and marshals. Runners receive medals, water, and goody bags at the finish. The event promotes community spirit and supports ShoeShare Malawi by collecting used trainers for athletes in need.
