Dumfries Half Marathon
Dumfries Running Club organises the Dumfries Half Marathon on Sunday 20 September 2026 at The Crichton, Dumfries. The course starts and finishes at Dumfries and Galloway College, Bankend Road, DG1 4FD, and passes through countryside towards Glencaple with views of Criffel.
The race distance is 13.1 Miles on an accurately measured and scenic road course. The event is a SAL permitted race with licence ESO14916 and is also hosting the British Masters Championship 2026.
Entry includes a medal for all finishers and a comprehensive Goody Bag. The event uses chip timing and provides mile markers, a well-marshalled route, and regular water stations. Facilities listed for participants include ample car parking, toilet facilities, showers and changing rooms, and pre and post race refreshments.
Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers, 1st and 2nd male and female teams, and first male and female in the 40 plus, 50 plus and 60 plus categories. Under UKA rules only bone conducting headphones may be used. There is a three hour time limit for the race. Online entry closes 19 September 2026 at 12:00.
