Dumfries Half Marathon

The Dumfries Half Marathon, organised by Dumfries Running Club, takes place on Sunday 20 September 2026 in Dumfries. The event is a half marathon of 13.1 miles on an accurately measured road course. The route runs from the Dumfries and Galloway Campus toward Glencaple with views of Criffel and returns to finish at the college.

The race is a SAL permit event with a licence application pending and also hosts the British Masters Championship 2026. Race features include chip timing, mile markers, well marshalled roads, regular water stations, and a three hour time limit. Entry includes a finisher medal and a comprehensive goody bag. Facilities listed for the event include ample car parking, toilets, shower and changing areas, and pre and post race refreshments. Prizes are awarded for first to third men and women, male and female team places, and age category winners for 40 plus, 50 plus and 60 plus.

Entries are limited and the online entry closing date is 19 September 2026 at noon. The entry fee is £25 plus the advertised booking fees. Under UKA rules only bone conducting headphones are permitted. Results may be published and can include name, club affiliation, race times, occupation and age category for the purposes of results, licensing and insurance.
