About the race
The Dumfries Half Marathon, staged by Dumfries Running Club, is a 13.1-mile scenic road race in and around Dumfries, Scotland. The course starts and finishes at Dumfries & Galloway College and offers Criffel views as it moves toward Glencaple and back. Runners enjoy chip timing, mile markers, regular water stations, marshals, and well-equipped facilities including parking, toilets, showers, and changing rooms.
Finishers receive a medal and a comprehensive goody bag, with prizes for top positions and age groups. The event holds a SAL permit (licence pending); entries are limited and close online the day before, with bone-conducting headphones only permitted.
