Dumfries Half Marathon
Dumfries Running Club stages the Dumfries Half Marathon on 20 September 2026 at The Crichton, Dumfries, Great Britain. The event distance is 13.1 Miles and it is open only to runners aged 18 or over on the day of the race.
The route starts at the Dumfries and Galloway Campus, passes views of Criffel on the way to Glencaple, and returns to the college. The course is accurately measured and has mile markers, chip timing, and a well-marshalled route. Regular water stations are provided along the course.
Entry includes a medal and a comprehensive goody bag for all finishers. Facilities listed for the event include ample car parking, toilet facilities, shower and changing areas, and pre and post-race refreshments. Race numbers are limited and online entry closes on 19 September 2026 at 12:00.
The event is a Scottish Athletics permitted race under licence ESO14916 and will host the British Masters Championship 2026. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female, team prizes, and age-category prizes including 40 plus, 50 plus and 60 plus categories. A three hour time limit applies. Under UKA rules only bone-conducting headphones may be used. Results and certain personal information may be published or shared with governing bodies for licensing and results purposes.
