Thomas Broom 5K for LIFE
The Thomas Broom 5K for LIFE is a memorial 5K presented by Palmetto Women's Center and scheduled for November 7, 2026 at Winthrop Lake, Eden Terrace, Rock Hill, SC. The event honors the memory of Thomas Broom III, who passed away unexpectedly at the Run for LIFE 5K in 2024, and is intended to continue the mission he valued: protecting unborn life and sharing eternal life through faith in Christ.
The event’s stated mission is: "To promote LIFE by offering gospel-centered care and counseling, excellence in medical services and focused education and resources so that abortion would become unthinkable." Its vision is to "foster a community where every individual chooses LIFE for their unborn child, eternal LIFE through faith in Christ, and abundant LIFE by walking in obedience to Him."
This is a 5K event with published registration periods and fees: Early Bird pricing was listed at $39.44 for July 15 to October 19, and $44.79 for October 20 to November 6. Registration closes November 6 at 6:30pm and there are no day-of sign-ups. Children under 18 who are able to walk or run must be registered and have a parent or guardian-signed waiver. Registration refunds are not provided unless the entrant enrolled in the Refund Protection Program; race management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event and fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to Acts of God.
