Buzz, Sweat & Tears 5K
The Buzz, Sweat & Tears 5K is the third annual Halloween edition fundraiser for the Fort Mill High School cross country program. The event supports a program of more than 100 athletes from Gold Hill Middle, Pleasant Knoll Middle, Banks Trail Middle, and Fort Mill High School. Proceeds help cover uniforms, travel fees, race entries, water coolers, and sun shelters so the program can avoid mandatory participant fees.
Location information: Bob Jones Stadium at Fort Mill High School in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The course is mostly paved and runs through the Fort Mill High School campus.

- Kids' Fun Run about 0.5 miles
- Couch Edition Virtual 5K
Entry fees are tiered: Early registration was $30, regular $35, late $40, and race day $45. The Couch Edition virtual entry fee is $25. The kids' half mile fun run is free for children 10 and under. Commemorative t-shirts are guaranteed for 5K walk/run registrants who register by September 25; shirts are not included with the Couch Edition virtual registration.
Event notes and rules include leaving pets at home, permitting strollers only for registered event walkers, and encouraging costumes. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to top finishers by age groups for both sexes in the listed age ranges.
