Buzz, Sweat & Tears 5K
The Buzz, Sweat & Tears 5K is the third annual Halloween-themed fundraiser supporting the Fort Mill High School Cross Country Team. The event supports a program of more than 100 athletes from Gold Hill Middle, Pleasant Knoll Middle, Banks Trail Middle and Fort Mill High Schools and helps cover costs such as uniforms, travel, race registration fees, water coolers, and sun shelters.
The event takes place on October 25, 2026 at Bob Jones Stadium at Fort Mill High School in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The course is mostly paved and winds through the Fort Mill High School campus.
Distances:
- 5 kilometers (3.1 miles), mostly paved campus course
- Kids' Fun Run (~0.5 mi), free for kids 10 and under
- Couch Edition Virtual 5K, virtual participation option
Registration pricing and dates are tiered: Early Bird $30 until August 13; Regular $35 August 14 to September 30; Late $40 October 1 to October 23; Race Day $45 October 24 and 25. Couch Edition virtual registration is $25. Commemorative t-shirts will be guaranteed to those who register for the 5K walk or run by September 25; shirts are not included with the Couch Edition.
Awards include top three overall male and female finishers and top finishers by age group for both male and female competitors in the listed age ranges. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
