Course and logistics
Both the half marathon and 5K start and finish at the Criterium Course and run through the Riverwalk neighborhood onto the paved Piedmont Medical Center Trail along the river. The course is marked; roads in the neighborhood will not be closed, so runners are asked to use bike paths and sidewalks where required. There is a short gravel section of about 400 meters after mile 6. Water stops and portable toilets are provided roughly every 2 miles at specified mile markers, and restrooms are available at the Criterium Course facility. There is a strict time limit of 3:00 hours for the half marathon and 1:00 hour for the 5K.
