Rocktoberfest Half Marathon & 5K
The Rocktoberfest Half Marathon and 5K is a running event held at the Rock Hill Criterium Course in South Carolina. The course travels through the Riverwalk neighborhoods and includes sections on the paved Piedmont Medical Center Trail along the river. While the majority of the route is paved, there is a 400-meter section of gravel road located after the six-mile mark. Because the roads remain open to vehicular traffic, participants utilize bike paths and sidewalks throughout the neighborhood sections.
The event offers several race categories:

- 5K
- Half Marathon Relay (2 People)
- Virtual Half Marathon
- Virtual 5K
Participants in the half marathon and 5K receive a technical shirt in either short or long sleeves, along with a finisher medal. For the half marathon, a pace team provides groups for various finish times ranging from 1:35 to 3:00. Strict time limits are enforced for the safety of participants and to meet city requirements, with a 3-hour limit for the half marathon and 1 hour for the 5K.
The event features live rock music near the start and finish lines to entertain participants. An outdoor festival at the finish area includes a beer garden featuring local brews and an awards ceremony for overall and age division winners. Water stations are positioned approximately every two miles along the course. Due to safety regulations, dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course.
