Thirsty Thursday 5K

Thirsty Thursday 5K is a series of timed 5K pub runs held in the St. Louis, Missouri area and organized with Good News Brewing and Fleet Feet St. Louis. Events take place one Thursday each month from April through October and use professional timing.

The course is an out and back on the Katy Trail starting from Good News Brewing in Defiance, Missouri. An open start line format is used to allow for staggered departures and a low stress check in experience.

All registrants age 21 and older receive a free beer from Good News Brewing. Good News also offers extended bar hours and a pizza buffet that is available for purchase. Event registration includes optional swag available for purchase. For 2026 the series features no processing fees, a loyalty program, and the addition of age group categories on the leaderboards.
