Run for Heart Warriors 5K
The Run for Heart Warriors 5K is an event held at Queeny Park in St. Louis, Missouri. The race is designed to support the Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation and raise awareness for families impacted by Pediatric Heart Disease. All proceeds from the event are donated to the foundation.
Participants can choose between two main formats:
- Run for Heart Warriors 5K: A chip-timed in-person race on park trails.
- Virtual Run for Heart Warriors 5K: A flexible option where participants can upload results online between June 1 and June 28.
The in-person course consists primarily of gravel trails. While the event is a timed race, walkers are also permitted to participate. On-site amenities include music from a DJ and an appearance by the St. Louis Blues mascot. Participants have access to beverages from a coffee truck and post-race snacks provided by local vendors. For families, the park features a renovated playground located within walking distance of the event area.
Top finishers in the in-person race are recognized in several categories. Awards are provided for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female participants in various age divisions ranging from 12 and under to 70 and over. Additionally, registrants can submit a photo of their Heart Warrior to be featured on a dedicated banner displayed at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
