Run for Heart Warriors 5K
Run for Heart Warriors 5k is a fundraising event benefitting the Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation. The event aims to raise awareness and support for children and families impacted by pediatric heart disease.
The program includes an in person chip timed 5K on Queeny Park trails. The route is primarily gravel and walkers are welcome. A virtual 5K option is also available; virtual participants can enter results between June 1 and June 28. The virtual option does not include a race packet, giveaways, or awards.
Registration details differ by option: in person registration opened July 15, 2025 and closed March 9, 2026 with a stated fee of $40. The virtual option opened July 25, 2025 and closed March 9, 2026 with a stated fee of $20.
On site offerings listed by the organizer include a DJ, the St. Louis BLUES mascot, Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck for beverages, Ballwin Philly Pretzel Factory snacks, and post race snacks supplied by Whole Foods in Town & Country. Queeny Park has a recently renovated playground within walking distance of the event.
Awards for the in person 5K include a $50 Target gift card for the top three overall female and top three overall male finishers and top finisher awards for the top male and female in each age division. Age divisions are 12 and under; 13 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 to 69; and 70 and over. Awards must be picked up at the event on race day.
