This event is one race in a seven-race evening 5K series held monthly from April through October 2026 on the third Thursday of each month. The Race 5 date is August 20, 2026, and the venue is Trooper Thorn's Irish Beef House, 451 Morgantown Rd (Rt 10), Reading, PA.
The series features a wheel-measured 5K course run on the mostly flat Thun trail. The course is on packed cinder or paved trail surfaces and most commonly uses an out-and-back layout with a typical turnaround about 1.55 miles from the start. The start area is located behind Trooper Thorn's.
Event services include a finish clock, mile markers, instant results, light eats, meals available for purchase, shirts for sale while supplies last, door prizes, and on-street parking near the pub. The organizer provides insurance for the event. The meeting is normally held rain or shine; if postponed, it is typically rescheduled for the next Thursday.
Entry options include a series entry and individual race entries. Published fees list a discounted series rate for early postmark and a per-race fee for single events. Each entry includes one complimentary beer for adults and a complimentary soft drink for minors; specific brands may be limited. Age-group awards are offered along with overall awards; separate Clydesdale and Clydette categories require sign-up at first entry and remain in effect for the entire series. No refunds.
