RunPA Trail Jamboree
The RunPA Trail Jamboree is a multi-day trail running event held at Camp Mack in Newmanstown. The schedule features a night race on Friday followed by various endurance challenges and a youth event on Saturday. Participants have the option to camp on-site for free starting Friday evening. The facility includes permanent restrooms and a limited number of showers for runner use.
The endurance events take place on a loop measuring approximately 3.4 miles. This course features a mix of single and double track trails, dirt and stone roads, and grassy fields, with some sections containing roots and rocks. Runners aim to complete as many laps as possible within their chosen timeframe. All events utilize chip timing to track progress and lap counts automatically.
Available event categories include:
- 12-Hour Endurance
- 6-Hour Endurance
- 3-Hour Endurance
- Camp Mack Hustle (approx. 3.5 miles, headlamp required)
- Free Kids Trail Run (approx. 1.5 miles)
For the endurance races, participants are permitted to have a registered pacer join them after the first loop. A main aid station located at the start and finish line provides water, electrolytes, and energy bars, though endurance runners are encouraged to bring their own specific fuel and meals. There is a designated area near the course for participants to set up personal tents or gear stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
