The Viper 10 km trail run
The event is scheduled for 22 Apr 2027 and uses a new course for 2027. The distance is 10 km. Entry is limited to a total field of 50 places and operates on a first come first served basis; entrants must be over 18. A TRA permit number is recorded as 6277 (TBC). Non-TRA and non EA members pay a £2 levy.
The new route will be provided to entrants before the event as a narrative, a GPX file and a Strava link; downloading the narrative in advance is advised. The event is self sufficient, so participants should carry their own water and provisions and bring items such as a phone, snacks, a torch if light levels are low, high visibility clothing and waterproofs if needed. Race numbers and event running T shirts are collected on the event day. The run uses a mass start and a tail runner is present to assist navigation.
Parking is available opposite the pub with limited space; a free public car park in Mill Green is about a 10 minute downhill walk away. Bike racking is available at the pub. At the finish participants hand their race number in at the bar and may receive a pint, a glass of wine, a soft drink or a hot drink. Event updates are posted to the Facebook event page.
Entry fees vary by date, ranging from £20.00 to £25.00; a service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to sign ups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
