Ebbsfleet Garden City 10km
The inaugural Ebbsfleet Garden City 10 km takes place on November 1 in Ebbsfleet Valley, Ebbsfleet Garden City, Kent (DA10 1AD). The organiser is Run Happy Run Healthy.
The route starts next to Whitecliffe Lakes at the bottom of the Castle Hill development and begins with a loop around the lakes. Runners then head back up through Platinum Jubilee Lakeside Park and turn left along Castle Hill Drive on a wide pavement. The course crosses onto a gravel path that passes Portbridge Gardens, crosses Whitecliffe Road and continues on a straight, slightly downhill footpath.
The route proceeds down to Whitecliffe Road, turns right to pass the Mammoths, and follows an off road gravel path that loops around the new development. It crosses Castle Hill Drive onto a single footpath that runs up toward the observatory of Ebbsfleet Development Cooperation, then turns left and descends. The route exits briefly along Watling Street beside the A2 and M2, then returns via Ackers Drive and an off road Ebbsfleet Garden path back to Castle Hill Drive. The event finishes with one final lap of Whitecliffe Lakes.
