Leigh on Sea 10k and 5k
This event on 1 November 2026 offers evening races over 10 km and 5 km, with a separate 5 km entry for juniors aged 11 to 15 and the 10 km open to participants aged 16 and over. The event holds a UKA race permit number to be confirmed.
The 10 km is described as an after dark multi terrain route through parts of Leigh on Sea. The 5 km was added previously and remains on the schedule. All juniors aged 11 to 15 must be accompanied at the event by an adult who takes full responsibility for their safety and well being.
The event uses accurate chip timing and provides instant result printouts and a certificate. Headtorches or body torches are mandatory for participants. Organisers provide marshals to support safe night time running. Fancy dress is optional and a bonus prize is available for costumes. Finishers receive a themed sustainably sourced medal and the customary glass of prosecco.
The event is run as a not for profit and supports national and local charities with a focus on Essex based care. Charity partners for the year will be announced later. Registration closes on 30 October 2026 at 23:59.
