The Viking Run Rosendale
The Viking Run is scheduled for Sunday, December 27, 2026 at the Rosendale Community Center, 1055 NY-32, Rosendale, New York 12472. The event is a 6-mile road run with an often-mentioned reputation of being uphill both ways.
December weather can be unpredictable; conditions on race day may range from clear to winter-like. The venue provides indoor space for pre-race and post-race activities.
The course has a 90-minute time limit (equivalent to a 15 minute per mile pace). Organizers note this limit is to avoid tying up roads and police resources and as a courtesy to volunteers.
Commemorative medals are guaranteed for the first 150 registrants; medals after that will be subject to availability. Parking at the venue is limited, and carpooling is highly recommended.
Registration fees listed by the organizer are $15 for online pre-registration and $25 for day of race registration. Bib pickup and day of registration are handled at the venue on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
