The Tuckahoe 25k
The Tuckahoe 25k is scheduled for November 21, 2026 in Queen Anne, MD. The event features a 25k (15.5 miles) trail course; organizers note these are trail miles and GPS distance may vary. The course is mostly single-track with some wider horse trails, offering runnable hills and a few rooty, muddy sections. Runners should expect trail conditions that can include dirt, mud, and occasional slips.
Three fully stocked aid stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, gels, and food options that include both sweet and salty items. Volunteers staff the aid stations. Awards are given to the top three men and top three women, and all participants receive event swag.
The race operates in all weather conditions; there is no rain date and the event proceeds in rain, sleet, or snow. Cancellation will only occur for a force majeure event that prevents EMS, aid stations, or support staff from functioning. If canceled, no refunds or credits will be given.
Event organization is handled by Algonquin Ultras in partnership with the Centreville Crushers running club. The organizers describe the series as community-driven, eco-friendly, and volunteer-supported, with partnerships involving Maryland Parks and Maryland Forests to support trail use and preservation.
Additional rules include visible bib numbers, no bib transfers or bandits, no pacers or crews, no dogs for runners, no early or late starts, a pack in pack out policy, and a requirement to return a bib if dropping out. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
