The Tuckahoe 25k
The Tuckahoe 25k is a trail race held in Queen Anne, Maryland on November 21, 2026. The event is organized by Algonquin Ultras with involvement from the Centreville Crushers. The course distance is 25k (15.5 miles); these are trail miles, so GPS distance may vary. Registration closes November 20, 2026. The event is part of Algonquin Ultras Inc., a nonprofit that works with Maryland Parks and Maryland Forests and relies on volunteers.
The course is mostly single-track with some wider horse trails. It is not described as highly technical or rocky but includes runnable hills and a few rooty, muddy sections. Three fully stocked aid stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, gels, and real food both sweet and salty, staffed by volunteers. Awards are given to the top three men and the top three women, and all participants receive event swag. The race has no rain date and will proceed in rain, sleet, or snow unless a force majeure prevents emergency or support services; there are no refunds or deferrals if the event is canceled. Event rules include visible bib numbers, no bib transfers, no pacers or crews, no dogs for runners, no early or late starts, and a pack in pack out expectation for litter.
