Terrapin Trot 5k & 10k
The Terrapin Trot features chip-timed road/trail races at Terrapin Nature Park in Stevensville, Maryland. Distances offered include:
- 5 km
- 10 km (two laps of the 5 km)
The course is a gravel trail with minimal elevation change. The route runs through forest, along a stretch of sand, and provides scenic water views including portions with views of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
Runners receive a finisher's medal and a technical (DriFit) event shirt. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before December 14; sizes for race-day registrants cannot be guaranteed. Packet pickup is available at the event and race-day registration is offered. The event posts live results on Athlinks and provides a QR code at the race for immediate result access; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race.
There are three water stations on the 10 km course at approximately miles 1.8, 3.1, and 4.9, and one water station on the 5 km at approximately mile 1.8. Gatorade will be available at some water stations. Restrooms are located onsite. Parking is available at Terrapin Nature Park; a GPS pin is provided: 38.990055, -76.320973.
Points from this event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Fall Series. A virtual race option is available. The listed Back of the Pack pace is 11:00 min/mile. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
