Hot Chocolate 5K
The Hot Chocolate 5K takes place on Sunday, March 7, 2027, with a rain and snow date of Sunday, March 14, 2027. The start and finish are at Kent Island Elementary School in Stevensville, Maryland, and the course runs along the Cross Island Trail. The event is described as family friendly and dog friendly and is scheduled in winter.
There are two divisions offered:
- 5K running division
- 5K walking division
Registration fee is $30. Packet pickup is held on race morning in the school cafeteria. Race day registration may be available; there is no guarantee of receiving a premium for race day registrants.
Awards include first place male and first place female in the running division, age group awards, and awards for the top three male and female finishers in the walking division. Age group winners must be present to receive their award. There will be hot chocolate at the finish, and dog treats will be provided for participating dogs.
